NHCT GRANTS AWARDED IN 2023

In 2023, 27 places of worship applied for grants. Six either withdrew their application or were rejected, which allowed us to award a total of £66,595 to 21 places of worship of several dominations.

The grants awarded were as follows:

Blessed Virgin Mary & St Leodegarius, Ashby St Ledgers Urgent plaster work & restoration of wall paintings. £4,000
St Peter, Brackley Repairs to the church tower and guttering. £5,000
Broughton Baptist Church Replacement of wooden windows at the front and UPV windows on the side elevation. £3,000
St Peter & St Paul, Chipping Warden Installation of a roof alarm. £500
St Andrew, Cotterstock Urgent rewiring discovered during the refurbishment of the organ and the replacement of a rotting pew support structure. £4,000
All Saints, Earls Barton Redecoration and repair to an internal rendered wall. £3,000
St Mary the Virgin, East Haddon Repairs to the porch guttering, downpipe and installation of a nave handrail. £2,500
St Mary, Easton Neston Replacement of the lighting system. £1,500
St Mary Magdelene, Ecton Installation of a bird guard and weather proofing to louvre windows. £595
All Saints, Flore Repairs to structural cracks, and to the stonework and lime plaster. £5,000
St Mary Magdalene, Geddington Additional grant to that previously made due to increased costs of the window repairs. £2,000

St Peter & St Paul, Harrington Refurbishment of bell tower; creation of servery/toilet and the installation of a disabled access. £10,000
All Saints, Kettering Replacement of the existing lights with energy-efficient LED lights, roof repairs and redecoration of windows. £1,500
St Alban the Martyr, Northampton Repointing of parapet and walls and plaster repair following a water leak. £1,000
St John the Baptist, Quinton Quinquennial repairs. £2,000
St Mary, Staverton Conversion of a stone storage into a storage unit and toilet. £4,000
St James the Greater, Syresham Replacement of singles on the spire. £6,000
St Mary, Titchmarsh Restoration of monuments. £2,000
Wellingborough United Reform Church Provision of a disability ramp, installation of a glass door and redecoration of the church. £5,000
St Peter, Weston Favell Repairs to walls and repointing, and repairs to the roof and rainwater goods. £2,000
